DESCRIPTION
Cedric is of average height, and average weight, but has brilliant green
eyes and hair that is the black, almost blue color of a raven’s feathers.
His clothes are mostly greens and browns that seem to blend in well in the
forest, and he wears a rather compact dark brown backpack with many pockets.
It looks like it could be swung around his for quick access.
Those who look closely may notice that he is wearing a silver chain around
his neck, but whatever is at the end of the chain is kept neatly and tightly
under his shirt.

PERSONALITY
Tries to be cheerful, but is often cynical and easy to worry. He often times
carries himself like a hunted man, and the chaotic look in his eyes is at times
a little disturbing. He is still within the realm of sanity, but at times seems
to be slightly unhinged, as if something in his life at some time has gone
horribly horribly wrong.

Name: Cedric Morgran Race: Human Class: Cleric 1/Sorcerer 2 Alignment: CN Cedric was a former priest in the service of his goddess. He was a young member of the order, but showed great potential. One night, on the eve of one of their high holy days, the entire order had gathered and were making preparations for the ceremony and the feast that would follow over the next three days. At the high point of the ceremony, when the high priest and the high priestess were to invoke the power of their deity, the magical flow simply stopped. Everything went dark, and the ceremony went into chaos. Something was wrong, very wrong. The senior priests gathered quickly to investigate, but could not gain access to any of the powers that they had come to depend upon. That was went the attack came. The great hall began filling with warriors sent by the priests of another god. There were hundreds of them, and they had snuck in under the cover of night, while the followers of the goddess were distracted with their ceremony, and the subsequent chaos of losing their connection. As it became obvious that the battle would be lost, one of the elder priests forced Cedric to flee. He sent with him the temple's holy book, and the mans own holy symbol. Cedric fled as quickly as he could. He went the only place he could think of, and that was the temple of their sister order: another order in the service of the same goddess. When he arrived after fleeing for three days, he came over the crest of a nearby hill, and his heart sunk. Their temple was in ruins. It had been sacked and destroyed. Anger and sadness filled his mind as he realized that the temple he had fled likely looked much the same. The five years that followed were a nightmare. He went into hiding, doing his best to hide from his enemies. It was hard. He wasn't entirely sure WHO his enemies were. He knew that they were powerful, and that they worked for other gods, but he was not sure which. As time went by, he started to become suspicious that it had been the gods themselves that planned this. How else could he explain the loss of his clerical powers. It was in that time of chaos and pain that his own latent abilities had surfaced. They had come forth violently and were accompanied by more pain and confusion. He knew though that it was sorcery. Divine magic had never felt like this. However, he felt that it was something that he was born with, and if he was born with it, then it must be a gift from his goddess. He would use that gift to survive until the time came that his order could be reborn. He would someday serve his goddess once more. It was recently that he heard rumors. Rumors of a mad woman who made great claims. She claimed to be the goddess herself, and that she was on a quest to reclaim her rightful place. No one believed her really, and neither did he for that matter. However, the tales that spread speak of the things she has said. To most, they sounded just as much nonsense as the rest of her tale. To him, a priest of her order, he understood what was said. The mad woman may not be a goddess, but she may have been sent by the goddess. She might be guiding her had. And for that reason, he would seek her out and aid her on her quest for madness.
