[edit] Chisu Leaves
- The Chisu plant is a small plant that is somewhat akin to the pokeweed plant. Unlike the pokeweed plant, the Chisu never grows more than three feet in height. In the wild, a skilled herbalist can tell the difference, but mistakes are still sometimes made.
- The Chisu plant is mainly of note for it's extraordinary healing properties. The leaves if consumed directly can produce a mild anesthetic effect and greatly aid the natural healing process. In the hands of a skilled herbalist or alchemist however, certain parts of the plant can be brewed and distilled into powerful poultices and potions.
- It is best for the untrained to acquire Chisu leaves and potions through trusted channels however, as the same processes applied to the pokeweed plant will have highly toxic results.

[edit] Damned City, The

- MalTier holds an interesting place in the politics of Acrose. It is the one city state that able to resist the might of the Imperial Army when Emperor Algdon took the rest of Acrose. Where great nations failed, the walls of MalTier survived. Now an uneasy peace exists between MalTier and the Acrose Empire.

[edit] Land of War
- The Land of War (or sometimes Land at War) is a name that is sometimes used to describe the continent of Acrose. Prior to The Year of Doom the continent of Acrose was in a constant state of war, and had been for many centuries. The oldest living members of the Elder Races could not remember a time when the continent had been fully at peace. There were legends of the time when the True King ruled a land of peace, but these were only legends.

[edit] Moon Moss
- Moon moss is a rare form of moss that only grows in caves where there is a high acid level in the soil or stone. It takes its name from the soft glow that it gives off in its natural form. It radiates a glow that is comparable to the light of the moon.
- Moon moss is prized for its chemical properties. In the hands of a trained alchemist it can be used to produce chemical powered light sources. In the hands of an untrained individual, or simply someone of a more violent bent, it can be used to cause massive explosions.
- Moon moss, even in it’s natural state, reacts violently when it comes in contact with normal water. This fact is the reason for its glow. The water molecules normally present in the air are enough to cause a slight reaction. Quite often, the safest way to transport moon moss is in sealed jars. Occasionally moon moss can be found growing near pools of highly acidic water. When this is the case, it is generally safest to transport it in a jar filled with the naturally occurring solution.

[edit] Waymeet
- A Waymeet is a place where travelers can stop to rest. They are usually a cave, a hut, or some other small building or weather safe place. This is not always completely accurate. They will often hold shrines to the Twin Goddesses Eio and Mai, and are often tended to by members of their orders. Waymeets have a few simple rules.
- 1) Everyone is welcome.
- 2) No one is to fight in a Waymeet.
- 3) Goods belonging to the Waymeet belong to whomever needs them.
- 4) Take only what you need.
- By tradition, if any traveler has rations or supplies they can afford to part with, they will leave at least some of them among the stores at the Waymeet. If a traveler is traveling light, he can take from the rations stored there enough for his time while he is there, and a little more to help him make the journey to the next Waymeet.
- The most sacred rules of the Waymeet though are the first two. There is to be no combat. If two travelers cross paths there, and their clans are at war, then the two will be at peace while in the Waymeet. It is forbidden to attack anyone entering or leaving the Waymeet either. The gods do not look kindly upon those who decide to try to bend the rules after all.

[edit] Year of Doom, The
- The Year of Doom refers to year that Lord Alan Algdon took control of the continent of Acrose. As much as he may be despised by many or his servants, it is not the simple fact of his reign that gives the year its name. On the fourth day of the fourth month of The Year of Doom, a great catastrophe took place that no one has yet to explain. On that day something awful befell the ruling houses of all the nations of Acrose. The few surviving witnesses have said that horrible creatures attacked and tore to shreds any family member that could be found. The entirety of the royal lines were wiped out. When it was over, all that remained of the royal houses were a few distant lesser noble houses. At this time, Lord Alan Algdon stepped forward and took the crown. He had been an unlanded noble. He was the leader of one of the lesser houses. Now however he was the master of all of Acrose.
