[edit] Dragon Vs Drake

Eventually I will get more info here on many creatures, and Dragons and Drakes both will eventually have their own pages. Dragon and Drake traditionally are often simply different ways of describing the same creature. However for our purposes we will use them to differentiate between two similar but different species.

Dragons are the intelligent, supremely powerful beings of myth. Drakes are large reptiles that resemble dragons in appearance, but do not have their level of intellegence, or supernatural powers.

Drakes can fly under their own power, but do not have the ability of magical flight. They can breath flame, but must first consume the apropriate foods/minerals to fuel the process. They can be large and strong, but their strength is comparable to a large dog, a horse, or an elephant, depending on their size. In other words, a drake the size of a horse, will likely be marginally more powerful than a horse. Their strength will be realistic for their size and muscle mass.

Dragons follow a whole different set of rules.
