[edit] Intro

This is a basic lexicon of terms that most of you are likely familiar with, but that some may not know. It is here to make things easier on those who are new to the genre.

First, I will give a brief list of abbreviations. Most of these will be further explained under the appropriate entries.

 GM: Game Master
NPC: Non-Player Character
 PC: Player Character
*PK: Player Killer
   (* Has a further meaning.)

Game Master:
The Game master is a person who's duty is to ensure that
the game runs smoothly, and is enjoyable for the players.
In an online game, they server as a combination mediator,
       and customer service.
Non-Player Character:
A character that is run by the computer, or a GM, and
not a normal player. These characters are often times
merchants, trainers, and other random people.
Player Character:
A Player Character is a character that is controlled
by a normal player. It is a players representation
       within the game world.
Player Killer:
A player that actively seeks to kill other player characters.
They generally tend to attack other players more than they do
monsters or NPC's. In the many game worlds this is the basic
       equivalent to a mass murderer.
PK:
