Here I will start compiling snippets of information for creating an RPG based off of the Magic the Gathering collectable card game.

[edit] Spell related concepts

The level of a creature or item created by a spell is roughly based on the mana cost of that spell. There may be some deviation.

[edit] Llanowar Elves

Llanowar Elves: G
Type: Creature - Elf
Att: +1 (1d4 dmg Melee)
DR: 1 (Armor)
HP: 1d4

During a turn, a Llanowar Elf may enter a meditative trance, providing their master 
with one additional green mana for that turn.  While they are in this trance they 
are unable to enter combat or defend themselves.  They still gain DR from their armor, 
but have no further defenses from the outside world.  During this time, their spiritual 
energies are tied up in their devotion to their master.
