IYW/Belderever
From NexusCrossing
Belderever was never his real name in fact nothing was ever real known about him other than what he did.
To most he was never seen but to those he did affect he did so spectacularly .
One of his first actions to bring him fame was the theft of throne of military Despot.
In one night when the so called king awoke to find not only his Lordly seat gone he found that every servant and soldier also found that evry pair of pants inside the castle disappeared.
Three days later a cloaked figure appeared in the capital square and sang a song that caused an insurrection that last fifteen nights but when it was finally quelled he was nowhere to be seen.
After that many strange events circulated the countryside unconstrained by any kingdom’s boundaries such as a Spoiled Princess being kidnapped for a month and returned unharmed with strange tales of week long benders, odd questions and a lasting appreciation for the arts another was when gagged Jester appeared in the king’s court seemingly out of nowhere and was promptly captured moments later he was found out to be the King of Bandits that was terrorizing the peasantry.
These and countless more were attributed to this mysterious figure who was eventually deemed Belderever. Decades passed before Belderever was killed by execution though not his own a child was to be hanged for the theft of loaf of bread but at the moment the door flipped open a man stood in it’s place the only reason that it was attributed to him was the fact that an hour after being declared dead his body had dissappered with a golden apple left in it’s place an action so inane yet mysterious that it was again attributed to him.
As the years past the legends surrounding Belderever grew despit or perhaps because of his death the stories changing based on who told them some saying that he saved their lives from bandits or false kings while others decried him as the one who left their land in ruins or warped the mind of their once proud king. These and countless others were attributed to him some false others true .
Eventually the tales grew to the point to where thieves, children ,Bards, or those who felt that their life had grown stagnate would pray for his blessing .
