[edit] The Golden Loom Concept
The Golden Loom is a planned guild for World of Warcraft. Many of the things that the guild founder wishes to implement are not directly supported by the World of Warcraft software or associated websites. He would like a website to support these things.
[edit] Website Needs
- A Registrar of membership(Member list)
- Statistics on members, including Rank, and Credit Balance
- Inventory of Available Resources
- Statistics on Prices for Items (Mats will be fixed at Vendor Sale Price by Default)
- Event Calendar, would include Dues information, meeting schedules, and Raid Schedules for higher level members,
- (Raids would be coordinated with the Blood Riders and/or the Twilight Guardians, I presume.)
- Different members would have different permissions in the guild and in the website, and a change log would keep track of changes that they make on the site.
[edit] Credit Balance
Credit Balance is an ad hoc setup basically. The Guild Vault balance does keep track of how much money a given character has put into the Vault versus how much a given character has taken away from the Vault. Credit balance would not be an in-game statistic, but a meta-game statistic. Sorta how raid points and dragon kill points are meta game statistics used by raids to determine the eligibility of raid members to receive loot.
Credit Balance is literally a measure of how much credit the player has with the guild. (All alts of the same player will have a single credit Balance and pay the same dues regardless of the number of characters.)
- Dues, another metagame concept, will be deducted from the character's credit balance every month.
- Whenever a character deposits money into the bank, that value is added to the credit balance of the respective player.
- Whenever a character deposits an item into the bank, 90% of the item's assigned value(sell to vendor price by default, and changeable at the Guild Master's discretion) is added to the player's Credit Balance.
- Whenever a character withdraws an item from the guild vault, the item's assigned value is subtracted from the player's credit balance.
- A player may withdraw any item he or she deposited within the bank, within 48 hours of the deposit, and lose only what was credited.
